Press Release
I got in the backseat and sat directly behind the driver. On my left shoulder was Future Me, like the good angel in the cartoons. On my right shoulder was Past Me, the little devil. “Don’t do anything you’ll regret” said the Future. “Now is the time to scream” said the Past. The car ride downtown was like a tunnel into the next realm.
She asked: Did you seem to be aware of things going on elsewhere, as if by extrasensory perception (ESP)? My choices were:
0 = No
1 = Yes, but the facts have not been checked out
2 = Yes, and the facts have been checked out
I answered 2. She asked: 16. Did you come to a border or point of no return? My choices were:
0 = No
1 = I came to a definite conscious decision to “return” to life
2 = I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was “sent back” against my will.
Again I answered 2. During the ride, I passed forward through years and months and days. Then I went backwards through minutes and seconds. When I got out of the car, Past Me had the halo; Future Me had the pitchfork.
